In order to commemorate the victims of the "5.12" Wenchuan earthquake, effectively improve the emergency shock-proof ability of all teachers and students in crowded places, ensure that all teachers and students in the school can quickly, orderly and efficiently implement earthquake emergency evacuation after the earthquake forecast is issued or the earthquake occurs, and minimize the losses caused by earthquake disasters. On the occasion of the National Disaster Prevention and Reduction Day, Tianli Experimental Senior High School in Ziyun Autonomous County carefully organized and carried out the "Earthquake Prevention and Disaster Reduction" themed education activities.
The activities were organized by the school's political and educational department, and a detailed theme education activity plan was formulated in combination with the current relevant regulations on epidemic prevention and control. The activity was divided into three stages: First, each class teacher held a class meeting with the theme of "earthquake prevention and disaster reduction" in the class, led students to remember the compatriots who died in the "5.12" Wenchuan earthquake, watched and learned excellent cases of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction through videos, PPT, etc., carried out knowledge training on how to prevent and save themselves before and after the disaster, and emphasized the relevant precautions that must be taken in carrying out this activity during the epidemic prevention and control period; second, the political and educational department organized all teachers and students in the school to carry out emergency evacuation drills for "earthquake prevention and disaster reduction"; third, students deepened and consolidated the learning results of "earthquake prevention and disaster reduction" through experience sharing, handwritten newspapers, etc.
As the earthquake alarm sounded on campus, all teachers quickly arrived at the designated location to do a good job in evacuating and protecting students. When students heard the alarm, they quickly simulated avoiding strong earthquakes, chose the best hiding place, strictly followed the school's regulations on the escape routes of each class after an emergency, and quickly fled to a safe area, during which they strictly implemented self-protection work such as preventing falling objects, preventing falls, and preventing trampling. The whole process was orderly, and the evacuation was quick and orderly. After arriving at the designated location, each class quickly counted and reported the actual number of people to the organizing teacher to ensure that all students arrived at the designated location safely.
